Lodha Developers has signed a major Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra government to develop a massive ₹30,000 crore Green Integrated Data Centre Park in Palava, near Mumbai. This 370-acre facility is designed as a sustainable hub for digital infrastructure, drawing investments from both Lodha and leading domestic and international data centre operators. The data centre park will have a planned capacity of 2 gigawatts and is expected to generate around 6,000 direct and indirect jobs, supporting the expansion of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and other digital services. The initiative comes after the launch of Maharashtra’s Green Integrated Data Centre Parks policy in October 2024, which requires all participating data centres to run on renewable and alternative energy sources to address environmental concerns associated with high energy consumption.

This collaborative project positions Maharashtra—and India—as a leading destination for state-of-the-art, eco-friendly data infrastructure. By streamlining approvals and offering incentives, the state is ensuring rapid implementation and robust investor interest, while Lodha Developers will spearhead development and coordination with multiple tech players. The Palava park is one of three such planned parks in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, marking a pivotal step toward a sustainable, digitally advanced economy, and helping India achieve its vision of global digital leadership by 2047.
